Are you in search of peace, space and relaxation? Then you have come to the right place. At Koren tot Manen you can stay over and enjoy the natural ambience of the forest. We dont have wifi or TV but feel free to use our collection of books, where you can enjoy reading with the warmth of a nearby fireplace of your stay, surrounded by nature.
Together with the horses we offer an environment to relax, a place to be yourself and to be one with nature. At Koren tot Manen we believe that we can offer our clients a place where they can be themselves and a scenery to loosen up, ensuring that, when you leave you feel alleviated and well rested.

Koren tot Manen started its vision in 2001. Since then, we have perfected the recipe to deliver our clients the best and optimal experience with the right horses that suites our clients and to be one with nature.
Do you want to organize a small get-together, reunion or a place to bring your friends or family? Would you like to lunch and stay for the night, weekend or the whole week? There many options to choose from. At Koren tot Manen we are happy to cater to the needs of our customers.
We also offer outdoor trips with the horses in groups. Children will be allowed to partake in the group if they have enough experience and if not, they can ride on our beautiful ponies so they can enjoy the outdoor adventure. For outdoor trips we ask you to book in advance and to be on time so that we can match the perfect horse that matches your character.

Op zoek naar rust ruimte en ontspanning dan bent u hier op de juiste plek.
Heerlijk slapen en genieten aan de bosrand. Wij hebben geen wifi, geen tv maar wel boeken, een heerlijk haardvuur en prachtige natuur. Samen met de paarden bieden wij een omgeving om te relaxen, tot jezelf te komen, en na een korte vakantie weer uitgerust verder te gaan.  Onze visie is met blije gezonde paarden mensen gelukkig te maken.

Ons bedrijf bestaat vanaf 2001 deze periode heeft ons een duidelijke visie gegeven hoe wij van onze hobby onze inkomsten hebben gemaakt. Deze ervaring gebruiken wij om uw verblijf optimaal te maken.

Gewoon een rondje stappen en bijkletsen of een vriendinnen uitje? Alles kan, lunch erbij? Nachtje slapen? Mogelijkheden genoeg. Ook met kinderen die zich hier prima kunnen vermaken is het een heerlijk week[end] weg.
Overigens kunnen kinderen alleen mee op buitenrit met voldoende ervaring. Voor de allerjongste zijn er de wandelpony’s.
Voor buitenritten vragen wij u ruim voldoende op tijd aanwezig te zijn. Dan kijken wij naar ervaring en karakter om passende paarden te vinden voor de leukste buitenrit.

Our History

When my grandmother (Koornneef) married my grandfather (of Manen), a piece of my father's land was bought as usual at the time. Houtzagersweg 11, Kootwijk.

On a Saturday afternoon a house was erected from scratch. It was named after "Janneke", the first born daughter. There was no floor in the house and people lived and slept on the sand floor.

A workbench was both a service and a kitchen block for granny and as a carpenter's bench for grandpa. After a lot of saving and hard work, a chicken shed was built that is now the stable for the horses and the old garage has been converted into a Bed & Breakfast.

In the sixties a large stone house was built, which could then be used to provide comfort, warmth and protection against the elements of nature. Grandpa and his son built this house with their own hands, here in the middle of nature.

When I came to stay as a granddaughter and wanted to ride horses with the neighbors, I often told Grandma that I wanted to live here ... a place where everyone was welcome! It was in March 2017 when my wish came true, as the property became mine, and it feels the same as it did back then: that everyone is welcome!




 

Some call it obsessed, I call it dedication.

As a little girl I was already crazy about horses and wanted to sit on every pony that I could lay my eyes on .
After a lot of nagging I was allowed to take horseback riding lessons and despite many falls I kept going.
I liked the most difficult animals and I wanted to learn from them.
After learning from many teachers, I started my company in 2001. Training, correction and instruction is my passion.
Together with Pieter, I got two children Max and Fleur both have little to do with horses. That is probably because of their overdoses on horses.

In the year 2017 we got the chance to buy the house of grandfather and grandmother. Together we succeeded. Now we have a Bed & Breakfast on this unique location with the possibility to make the most beautiful outdoor rides.
Kootwijk offers us peace, space and the chance to let many people spend a few hours with the horses and to spend the night in our Bed & Breakfast.

Feel free to bring your horse for outdoor trips or for keeping it safe and warm in the stable. We are open summer and winter and we welcome you to Koren tot Manen!
